The cross-beams are Douglas Fir.
These  two views of the Yellow Bedroom show how the natural light from the western window and balcony doors can change the mood of the room, as morning turns into late afternoon.. The queen four-poster bed with its hand-made mattress dominates this exqusite room.
The Southwest Room is located in the northeast corner of the house! It is so named because it is decorated with artifacts from the Four-Corners area of the southwesten region of the United States. The room contains a recreated Greene & Greene fireplace, encased in ceramic tile. The custom mantle dental work is quarter sawn oak.
